Sustainability Knowledge

Wanna fight mails and spreadsheets or climate change?

Climate crisis, mobility turnaround, new work or digitalization: the topic of sustainability has many facets. In our "Sustainability Knowledge"

section, we provide you with various insights into current and relevant sustainability issues and how you can use ID-Report to manage them.

CO2 Balance

A greenhouse gas balance for carbon dioxide - often also called CO2 footprint or carbon footprint - is used to determine the direct and indirect emissions that result from the actions of a company. Greenhouse gases other than carbon dioxide are recorded as CO2 equivalents (CO2e) to have a single target figure on which the effects of business activities and the effectiveness of climate protection projects are recorded. You can also use the scientific unit system of ID-Report to perform CO2-equivalence calculations and to collect and process emissions.

You can learn more about greenhouse gas reporting at: unfccc.int/process/transparency-and-reporting/greenhouse-gas-data/what-is-greenhouse-gas-data

CSR

By CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility - we mean the way companies perceive their social responsibility. Whether it is sustainable management, corporate responsibility, or an ethical compass: it is about taking responsibility for the ecological, social and economic environment. With ID-Report you receive a comprehensive management solution to implement CSR reporting in your company.

GRI

With its indicators, the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), provides guidelines for the structured preparation of sustainability reports, which are suitable for various forms of companies as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations. The goal is a comparable, transparent, and standardized presentation of the respective activities and services. With ID-Report you can collect the necessary information for GRI-compliant reporting.

You can find out more about the GRI indicators at: www.globalreporting.org

United Nations Global Compact

The UNGC is an initiative between companies, NGOs and the United Nations to ensure minimum social and ecological standards in the global world. The participating companies undertake to follow the 10 principles.  These can be divided into the areas of human rights, labour standards, environment and corruption prevention. In ID-Report you can also structure and report on your activities along these themes.

German Sustainability Code

The GSC- German Sustainability Code is a national standard for transparency in the presentation of corporate sustainability performance, regardless of sector, size or organizational form. It meets the reporting requirements of the European CSR Directive. The GSC can be reported using Global Reporting Initiative performance indicators. ID-Report allows you to collect and process the information required for entry in the GSC database in a structured and secure manner.

Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals are the political objectives and guidelines of the United Nations and serve as a global sustainability agenda up to the year 2030 (Agenda 2030). The 17 goals and their 169 individual targets address both governmental and economic organizations.

European CSR Directive

Since the 2017 financial year, numerous companies in Europe have been obliged to publish information on environmental, social and employee issues, as well as on respect for human rights and the fight against corruption. ID-Report enables you to collect the information required to fulfil the reporting obligation according to CSR-RUG in a structured and auditable manner.
